R is a mobile adaptable light source with integrated sensory ability. The conductive yarn, which is knitted into a 280 cm long tube, serves as the sensor.
This forwards the information to a microcontroller. Stretching the knitted fabric lengthwise changes the resistance allowing for an improved running of the current. The more the hose is stretched, the brighter the illumination of the light.
R explores how electronic objects can be controlledby the principle of stretching because it can reflect the information of the deformation intensity.
